A not so healthy lunch from TGIFridays. JodiesDaddy had the burger and I had the onion rings (and Jodie’s leftover chicken fingers)
My dinner tonight. Onion Rings. :)
Side Story:
While I was walking home today, I was thinking of what I can have for dinner. And all of a sudden, I craved for some onion rings. I have never been successful in cooking onion rings. Even if I follow a recipe. I knew attempting to cook them again tonight will be a risk —- but I thought, what the heck! So I took a detour and went to the grocery to buy some ingredients.
When I arrived home, I cheated a bit. I didn’t have the heart to make fail onion rings again, so I asked JodiesYaya (nanny) to cook them for me. Just gave instructions to dip the onions in some egg then coat with the mixture of cornstarch, breadcrumbs, and a dash of the cayenne pepper powder and then deep fry. Viola! SUCCESS!!! I was SOOOOO happy! I ate one whole BIG white onion all to myself haha
Brothers Burger. One of my favorite burger joints. This is the basic Brothers Burger with a side of onion rings. I also love their onion rings. The batter/coating is perfect, and I like that I can actually taste the onions!
Had lunch at Tender Bobs in Shangri-La plaza with a couple of high school friends. I had forgotten how good this place is… I ordered just onion rings, but shared with the potato skins. JodiesDaddy had this yummy looking burger!! :)
Onion Rings from Size Matters
Had lunch in Dolce Latte (along Quezon Ave) with Ava, Fizz and Fay. Ambiance was nice… Food was good. Cakes were so-so.
