Elbert’s burger with provolone cheese from Elbert’s Cheesesteak in Powerplant.
I enjoyed this. The patty was tasty and not over cooked. I think the burger will go really great on top of steamed rice hahaha
My open-faced wagyu burger with a side of bacon and mushrooms and truffle fries from Purple Feet. It was sooooo delicious :) Plus, it had a really nice presentation, don’t you think?
Oh, I think this was the first time I had it with some Chilean red wine (Montes?? I think.. sorry, I’m no sommelier so I don’t really know my wines) instead of my usual Coke Zero ;D
So we went back to Army Navy today (after loving their french fries so much!) to have lunch.
This was their double burger. It was good. I liked it. JodiesDaddy thought it was a little too salty and that the patty was a little mooshy (like you don’t actually see any ground meat in it..). He wasn’t impressed. But he still ate half of it (alongside his cheese steak sandwich).
Today was the culminating activity of Jodie’s Kindermusik class. Teacher Mitch organized a simple, intimate gathering at Stacy’s.
The place had a shabby chic feel to it, and had a lot of Cath Kidston prints/patterns around. I loved it! Given the chance, I would really like to have a house (or even just a kitchen) just like it :)
Anyway…. merienda (afternoon snack) food was served: open faced Apple County sandwiches, Potato Chip fried chicken (I loved this!), carbonara and french fries (both not shown here).
Nope, this wasn’t an egg sandwich (some of you already know that the only time I would eat a sunny side up is with bacon). There was actually a burger beneath this. A really good one, mind you. I devoured everything on this plate, except for the egg (of course) and one side of the bun. This is from Hotel Borubodur in Jakarta.
Starbucks has a new sandwich. The Starbucks deli sandwich on a baguette. I had this for brunch and it kept me full for the entire morning/early afternoon. Yum!
I love burgers. I love sausages. I love breakfast. This sandwich combined all three. Its the Breakfast Sausage Burger from Size Matters. JodiesDaddy and I shared the 1/2 pounder with a side of onion rings, curly fries and 36oz lemon iced tea. Burp!
Who enjoys cheap burgers?! I do!!
This cheeseburger from Hungry Hippo, is one good burger that’s packed with flavor unlike those from the usual fastfood joints. I admit its not a humongous burger; it easily fits into my mouth (probably smaller than a McDonald’s quarterpounder), but its satisfying nonetheless.
I haven’t been too happy with the new sandwiches offered at Starbucks. So when I couldn’t find a place to eat at for lunch today (no baon and all other restaurants at our building was full), I half-heartedly decided on Starbucks.
Not knowing what to order, I asked for the suggestion of the barista. He suggested I try out the Roasted Chicken Pesto and Shiitake on Flat Bread —- and he eagerly told me it was really good. Lo and behold… It was! :) I was very happy that I could actually taste the pesto, and the flat bread was different from the normal ciabatta or wheat bread.
I think I should not have generalized my opinions on the sandwiches at Starbucks. Today’s Lunch Sandwich just gave me a reason to give the others a chance ;D
Just found out, Starbucks removed their Spanish Chorizo and Hungarian breakfast sandwiches! BOO!
